A total of 81 students from the faculty were prominently recognized during the University of Nairobi’s Students’ Recognition Ceremony held on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Taifa Hall. The students were honored for excellence in academics, sports, leadership, and service. Otieno John Odoyo was named Best Overall Final Year Student.

Ottichilo, as he delivered a powerful public lecture to students and faculty at the University of Nairobi on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. His address explored the vital link between data-driven governance and sustainable urban development, offering a compelling look at GIS as a tool for equitable transformation.
